"Haiti Now" - Presented by Pat Landry
General Meeting - November 5, 2010

Below are photos of the meeting followed by some selected pictures
taken from Pat's slide presentation.

The following photos were taken from Pat's slide presentation:

1. This picture tells the story of the devastation in Leogane, Haiti.

2. Part of the town of Leogane which was the epicenter of the quake on January 12, 2010.

3. There is not one building in Leogane that is not destroyed or compromised.

4. Getting rid of the rebar is as tortuous as getting rid of the rubble.

5. It takes 10 people up to 2 weeks to clear one home site.

6. Creativity abounds in these children who have nothing. Here the boys
made trucks out of empty oil containers and their tops.

7. Pat works on a transitional house for one family. It is 12 foot square,
made of a solid wood frame covered with a heavy-duty tarp. It will have a tin roof.

8. Pat works on the metal pieces as the basis for a structure that will
become a temporary school.

9. The volunteers worked on a few of these buildings which are schools.
The bright colors represent the happiness of the residents who want their
children to learn and the children who are very anxious to go to school again.

10. These are the wooden desks constructed for the school. The children
painted the tops of them.

11. Pat is holding a baby in the hospital. Although she looks like a newborn,
the little girl is 6 months old.
